Information Technology Security Specialist Level I

Summary:

Responsible and accountable for the following area:

  • Information Technology Security Specialist Level 1 (hereinafter called IT SS 1) for I.Kitagawa & Co., Ltd. and affiliates (hereinafter called Company).
  • Affiliates Include: DSD, IK Motors, Inc. dba Kamaaina Motors, Kama’aina Nissan, Inc., Kona Auto Center, Inc., and Parts Center Hawaii, Inc.
  • Will have thorough knowledge of all company computer systems.
  • Will have a thorough knowledge of networks in relation to schematic wiring and computer setup.
  • Will maintain a detailed charting of the hardware of the Company and its systems for purposes of risk assessments and audit tracking.
  • Will have a thorough knowledge of the software of the Company and its systems.
  • Will have a thorough knowledge of the security protocols, requirements, and software of the Company and its systems.
  • Will assist in ensuring the Company stays in compliance with regulations such as FTC GLBA Safeguard, HIPAA, and PCI DSS.
  • Direct report is to the Chief Information Security Officer (hereinafter called CISO) and in her absence, the Corporate Controller and/or the President.

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Assist in maintaining a complete hardware chart to identify all computer hardware of the Company. By company, department and individual workstation.
  • Assist in maintaining a complete software chart to identify all approved computer software of the Company and the applicable license in effect. This is to include internet/system requirements for the respective manufacturer, Nissan, Stellantis, and Napa.
  • Will be responsible for all security updates to be done to the individual endpoints to uphold the safeguard rule and prevent confidential information to become accessible.
  • Will be responsible to assure the Company that only approved hardware and  software is utilized with the assigned In addition, will notify CISO when unapproved software must be removed.
  • Will coordinate all hardware maintenance, updates, and repairs with the CISO of the Company.
  • Will maintain library of required literature for respective software providers and security documentation.
  • Will be responsible to maintain back-up equipment to minimize down time with any endpoint.
  • Will assist in maintaining and installing all authorized security software and security systems on endpoints and network devices. This includes but is not limited to helping maintain the SOC, NOC, XDR/EDR, and firewall systems and devices.
  • Will be responsible with working with the CISO and authorized vendors to respond to potential security incidents.
  • Will assist in responding to Tech Support Tickets that may require Incident Response protocols and coordinate with the CISO.
  • Will be responsible for coordinating regular backups of all systems to ensure the security of systems and in compliance with the Company’s Incident Response requirements.
  • Will assist in the biannual Risk Assessments performed by the Tech Support Department.
  • Complete assigned Tech Support Tickets in a timely manner and maintain all relevant documentation.
  • Will maintain a daily activity log for historical reference to include installations, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance done.
  • Will maintain documentation of assigned Tech Support Tickets in the Tech Support Management Board.
  • Will assist (as needed) in the installation and maintenance of individual endpoints, this may include printer and computer components.
  • Will be provided a work area to monitor all computer activities.
  • Work on and/or assist with any projects as assigned by the CISO of the Company.
